Key responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to enhance business profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with retail leadership to align financial strategies with the overall strategic goals of the retail division.
  • Develop financial plans and objectives that support business growth and long-term goals.
  • Prepare business cases for new initiatives and investments, and monitor their performance against budgets.
  • Generate reports to support decision-making, including financial performance analysis, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project budgets, forecasts, and ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry and align financial advice accordingly.
  • Provide relevant financial analysis using sound accounting principles.
  • Analyze business data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Support retail finance leadership by integrating with business operations and identifying new financial services opportunities.
  • Assist in resolving financial audit queries and improve finance-operation processes.
  • Lead or contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, and develop KPIs to assess financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential financial issues and develop contingency plans.
  • Act as the Risk Manager for the region, managing risk-related matters, audits, and insurance claims.
