Raw Materials Buyer

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Raw Materials Buyer for our client in the manufacturing industry to join their team.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning, preparing, and placing purchases for equipment, services, and supplies to meet the company's production scheduled dates and to ensure material arrives JIT.
2. Daily expediting of orders and keeping the factory informed of delays.
3. Reviewing material requirements on a weekly/monthly basis.
4. Internal liaison with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure flawless production flow.
5. Ordering the best product or service that offers the lowest price after reviewing all options.
6. Managing inventory levels to prevent capital being tied up in raw materials.
7. Providing general/ad hoc assistance to the Procurement Manager.

Requirements:

• GR12
• Tertiary Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing
• Previous MRP (Syspro) experience advantageous
• Problem identification and solving skills
• Good mathematical/numerical skills
• Proficient IT skills, especially Excel
• 3-5 years of production buying experience, preferably in FMCG or CPG environment
• Knowledge of stock control
• Excellent planning skills
