Our leading client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to employ an Executive Financial Manager to join their dynamic team in Somerset West.
Responsibilities
- General:
- Manage month-end financial results and prepare disclosure information, including projects.
- Ensure accurate financial recording and execution of customer order-related costs.
- Apply IFRS15 principles to all sales transactions before invoicing.
- Understand product and project costing, as well as inventory valuation.
- Compile budgets, forecasts, and prognoses based on sales and projects.
- Identify financial risks and liaise with external auditors.
- Support business decisions to ensure profitable transactions and report on contract margins.
- Recommend procedural improvements and ensure financial controls.
- Provide monthly reports on key financial metrics.
- System Development and Support:
- Develop, implement, and modify financial policies and ERP system usage.
- Assist with ERP system functionality and controls.
- Provide customer service regarding financial information.
- Handle ad hoc information requests.
- Project Responsibilities:
- Engage in major contracts from review to execution.
- Ensure accurate project financial recording and cost management.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and actual performance tracking.
- Coordinate inputs from various departments and monitor project results.
- Prepare disclosure information on projects and contracts.
- Identify financial risks related to projects.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee overall financial responsibilities and transactions.
- Review reconciliations and internal/external reports, including AFS.
- Lead year-end and audit processes.
- Review policies and procedures.
- Provide general financial support to the company and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Honours or Postgraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- CA (SA) accreditation and articles at a reputable audit firm.
- Member of SAICA.
- Minimum 7 years post-article financial experience, with 4 years in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA).
- Knowledge of IFRS standards and recent technical competencies.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
- Analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good team management skills.
Package & Remuneration
Negotiable – Monthly.
