The IIE Varsity College, Westville Campus, seeks to expand its database of Part-Time Lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering for the IIE Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (BEng Civil). The modules include:

Key Performance Areas:

1. Preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
2. Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation, and mentoring to students.
3. Development of module materials, including online and web-based resources.
4. Assessment marking and grading.
5. Module coordination and quality assurance.
6. Administrative functions related to teaching modules.
7. Participation in committees, workshops, and relevant activities.
8. Other duties as required.

Other Requirements:

• Effective lecturing and tutorial skills at tertiary level in the specified core courses.
• Proficiency with e-learning platforms such as Blackboard and Moodle.
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum areas.
• Ability to design and evaluate assessments.
• Excellent communication skills in various modes.
• Strong administrative abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in relevant disciplines.
• Professional registration with ECSA is advantageous.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years lecturing experience at a tertiary level.

Working Conditions:

• This is a part-time role.
• Lectures are scheduled between 08:00 and 17:00.
• Preference given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents with proof of status.
