Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and drive sales by introducing new clients/companies to our business.
- Seek new business opportunities using all available sales prospecting tools.
- Update daily orders list, back-order file, and load sales daily.
- Update customers on collection dates for orders received or placed, and communicate any delays.
- Perform administrative and ad-hoc tasks.
- Manage distributions to customers, check pricing, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Handle invoicing for customers.
- Verify details against order forms to ensure all required technical data is available.
- Process payments, purchase orders, and follow up on debtors.
- Continuously improve knowledge of the trade, industry, and business sector.
- Close deals of medium to high value.
- Quote clients according to requests and invoice customers.
- Attend project and tender inquiries.
- Create strategic sales plans to expand the customer base.
- Find ways to improve customer service quality.
Marketing
- Advise on potential marketing campaigns and participate in marketing strategies and ideas to promote the business.
- Assist with marketing events and represent the company at shows, events, and seminars.
- Assist with company profile and presentation development.
Technical Support
- Assist and advise clients on technical aspects of the product range and recommend suitable products based on client needs.
- Explain warranties and terms & conditions fully to clients.
- Assist with customer complaints and issues.
Management & Reporting
- Provide daily updates on activities and compile monthly sales reports.
- Build and motivate the sales team.
- Brainstorm with the sales team to target potential projects.
- Assist sales team with client visits and presentations.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Track and evaluate sales figures.
- Regularly train and recruit sales consultants.
Training & Development
- Identify knowledge gaps and provide product training.
- Address reasons for sales declines and develop solutions to increase sales.
Budget Planning
- Develop sales budgets for expos, marketing merchandise, functions, and brand exposure activities.

Qualifications / Experience
- Matric / Grade 12.
