Job Description

Our client is urgently looking to employ a Senior Conveyancing Secretary Bonds with specific experience in SA Home Loans. The ideal candidate must be fully familiar with the SA Home Loans process and capable of handling both bond registrations and cancellations from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and manage files without supervision.

Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (compulsory)

A Conveyancing Certificate or Paralegal Diploma (advantageous)

Formal training or certification in GhostConvey or similar conveyancing software (preferred)

Skills

The successful candidate will have :

  • At least 5+ years of experience in conveyancing, with specific experience handling SA Home Loans bonds
  • Proven track record of handling bond registrations / cancellations independently from start to finish
  • Thorough knowledge of the SA Home Loans bond registration and cancellation process
  • Understanding of the Deeds Office procedures and documentation
  • Ability to manage files independently from instruction to lodgment, registration, and delivery
  • Drafting and preparing bond documents accurately
  • Liaising with banks, bond attorneys, clients, and the Deeds Office
  • Strong document management and file administration skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle high volumes under tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management and multitasking ability
  • Discretion with confidential matters
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Experience working in a fast-paced conveyancing department
