Job Description
Position Requirements
- Daily inspection of security equipment and arrange for repairs or calibration where needed
- Maintain security standards
- Conduct weekly searches and locker searches
- CCTV reviews
- Training of security staff
- Report writing
- Incident/accident investigations
- Liaise with clients and external role players
- Deployment of security staff
- Organise and supervise security escort drivers for high-value loads or upon request
- Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems to management
- Conduct site investigations and report on findings
- Oversee asset protection of both customers and staff, and prevent theft and inventory/stock loss
- Respond to bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms by following emergency response procedures
- Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches and coordinate appropriate responses
- Conduct regular risk assessments together with management
- Liaise with other departments and communicate weekend schedules to management and relevant departments
- Compile and send the daily load dispatch document to management and the finance department
- Compile and send the daily attendance report to management and human resources
Qualifying Criteria
- A minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- 5 years supervisory experience in the security sector
- Computer literacy, including full Microsoft Office suite and CCTV programs
- Report writing skills
- Investigative skills
- Driver's license and own reliable transport
- PSIRA Grade A registration
