Front Office Receptionist / Administrator – Cape Town

Do you follow a healthy lifestyle and have a passion for the health sector? We are seeking an immediately available individual for a Front Office Receptionist and Administrator position.

Our client in Plattekloof, who operates a busy health practice, requires your excellent communication and administrative skills to join their successful team.

This role involves multi-tasking administrative support, including booking appointments and extensive customer interaction.

Salary: R15 000 per month.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of administrative and reception experience
  • Experience with Mac computers is advantageous
  • Proven experience in a busy administration and reception role
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Friendly and empathetic communication style
  • Ability to liaise effectively with patients and address their needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls for the practice
  • Managing the doctors' diaries and scheduling meetings
  • Setting up appointments for patients
  • Attending to the doctors' urgent requests and requirements
  • Dealing with patient enquiries and problem-solving as needed
  • Assisting patients with settlement and payment of accounts
  • Notifying patients when their medication has arrived
  • Handling petty cash
  • Collaborating with team members in a busy practice environment
  • Typing correspondence
  • Performing ad-hoc duties related to the administration of the practice
