Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine and specialized technical functions, quality assurance, and administrative duties in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory.
  2. Uphold safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
  3. Manage administrative and specialized technical functions.
  4. Apply analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  5. Maintain ethical standards and provide excellent customer service.
  6. Ensure technical and professional competence.

Education and Experience
  • HPCSA Registered Medical Technician / Technologist in Blood Transfusion, Clinical Pathology, Haematology, or Medical Scientist.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience or in specialized blood product processing.
Additional Knowledge and Skills
  • Understanding of Blood Transfusion and Stem Cell Standards.
  • Knowledge of HPCSA and SANAS regulations and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Meditech systems.
Other Requirements
  • Provide 24-hour technical support and consultation as needed.
  • Willingness to travel nationally or internationally.
  • Possession of a driver's license and access to out-of-hours transport.
  • Availability for overtime and rostered call duty.
  • Proficient eyesight and mobility.
