Key Account Manager (FMCG / Retail) – Meyerton, Gauteng.

Are you a strategic, commercially minded Key Accounts Manager who thrives on using data to identify market trends and gaps to drive sales strategy? Advanced Excel skills, a sharp eye for increasing market penetration and sales performance along with building and maintaining customer relationships? Then we want to hear from you!

Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 Basic + Fuel card + company car & cell phone allowance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business
  • 5 years’ experience in B2B key account management or sales (Retail / FMCG)
  • Strong background in using data and Excel to create and implement strategy
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible across the Gauteng region
  • CRM experience (Skynamo)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You’ll report to the National Sales Manager, manage a team of 3 to 5 direct reports, and split your week between office-based planning and field-based client engagement.
  • Analyse sales and customer data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned to budgets and commercial targets
  • Work closely with key retail accounts to drive volume and profitability
  • Support the execution of national promotions, product launches, and merchandising plans
  • Guide and support your team in meeting performance targets and strategic goals
  • Deliver business reviews, performance forecasts, and client proposals
  • Maintain CRM data and ensure accurate tracking of sales activity and pipeline
  • Lead client-facing initiatives such as training, trade shows, and customer events
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and operations to ensure full delivery on account expectations
