Job description

This role is responsible for providing an effective maintenance planning and scheduling service.

POSITION INFO :

This role is responsible for providing an effective maintenance planning and scheduling service, and coordinating work execution and closeout in support of the Mill maintenance work requirements. The position is based atFelixtonMilland reports to the Planning Officer.

The successful Incumbent will be responsible for the following :

• Planning and scheduling the maintenance related activities in the Maintenance Plant as required by Tongaat Hulett Business Process flows for Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Capitalised Maintenance.
• Liase with Foreman to identity maintenance and service needs and coordinate general maintenance work toward ensuring production targets are met.
• Participate in outage and shutdown planning activities including Scope Identification and Control, Work Scheduling, Work Coordination, Risk Assessments, Work Execution and Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and compile reports of workload, resource availability and schedules.
• Coordinate weekly planning / scheduling meetings and provide weekly schedule to all relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required :

• Preferably an N5 in an Engineering Discipline and a Trade Test.
• At least 3 years experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in a heavy industrial environment.
• Must be able to work under presssure and meet deadlines.
