Job description

A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for Shift Supervisor (SS). Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the successful incumbent(s) will be responsible for supervising team members with respect to policies, procedures, and standards on product, administration, hygiene, maintenance, customer service, labour utilization, and employee relations. They will also assist the Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) and the Restaurant Manager (RGM) as requested.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS Standards within the restaurant by ensuring all employees focus on exceeding customer expectations for cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product, and speed of service.
  2. Manage shifts according to company policies and procedures, including directing employee activities to maximize sales, efficiency, and profitability.
  3. Allocate responsibilities to each employee on shift and monitor their performance.
  4. Ensure all employees follow correct maintenance procedures as per the established maintenance roster and report any repairs or maintenance needs to the RGM.
  5. Implement controls and procedures to safeguard the safety and security of employees, customers, property, and company funds during all shifts under supervision.
  6. Report to the ARM / RGM any issues related to employee relations, customer service, or health inspections that could impact restaurant operations.
  7. Assist in implementing staff training programs to enhance performance and support career development.
  8. Support and exemplify the 'How We Win Together' principles at KFC, acting as a role model and demonstrating Heart, Smart, and Courage leadership qualities.
