Job description

Job Location : Gauteng, Pretoria Deadline : June 13, 2025

Position Description :

  • The Bench Tech is required to support all IPC & PAC technical functions in the Gauteng region. This includes servicing, fault-finding/troubleshooting, and repairs on all IPC & PAC systems. Maintaining strong customer relations during service intervals and repairs is essential. High efficiency in turnaround times and completing services & repairs is necessary to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform service and repair of IPC & PAC equipment to full working capacity.
  • Schedule and attend onsite customer service and repairs.
  • Complete job cards for service repairs and warranties.
  • Track service intervals for IPC & PAC systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
  • Plan trips to service areas and address related queries.
  • Maintain high service and technical support levels.
  • Fill out service certifications for serviced equipment.
  • Ensure software calibrations are up-to-date.
  • Manage stock control for repairs and services.
  • Complete warranty repairs and provide inspection reports to QRC.
  • Perform field actions as required by the quality team.
  • Follow warranty procedures for repairs.
  • Assist with queries at hospitals and customer sites.
  • Maintain good customer relationships.
  • Complete daily activity reports as required.
  • Maintain company vehicle in good condition and keep records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards on all Arjo products.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :

  • Available to work night shifts.
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; tertiary qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong electronic and technical skills.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Excel and Outlook.
  • At least 2 years of driving experience with a company vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management.
  • Understanding of Arjo products is advantageous.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Organized and willing to work overtime and travel nationally as needed.
