Job Description

Our client is seeking an individual with face-to-face or intermediary sales experience who is eager for a new opportunity. The ideal candidate will have the attitude and energy to grow and develop a Business Insurance portfolio by acquiring new clients through face-to-face distribution channels. The role requires taking accountability for sourcing and servicing your own portfolio, with the potential to earn ongoing commissions based on your performance.

Qualifications
  • Matric or National Senior Certificate
  • Insurance qualification or credits relevant to commercial lines insurance (based on date of first appointment)
  • Class of Business or Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training, if applicable
  • FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5)
  • Own reliable transport and a valid code B driver's license
Experience
  • At least 2 years of face-to-face or intermediary sales experience in selling short-term insurance
  • Experience working with advice records and B2B sales
Deliverables
  • Building and managing your own insurance portfolio
  • Prospecting for new clients via networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing
  • Conducting comprehensive needs analysis for prospective clients
  • Providing ongoing service and support to clients, including amendments, renewals, and claim registration
  • Continuously expanding your client base to secure future income
  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets consistently
  • Providing feedback to management when requested
  • Attending weekly and ad hoc team meetings
  • Adhering to all quality standards and measures
