Job Description
Our client is seeking an individual with face-to-face or intermediary sales experience who is eager for a new opportunity. The ideal candidate will have the attitude and energy to grow and develop a Business Insurance portfolio by acquiring new clients through face-to-face distribution channels. The role requires taking accountability for sourcing and servicing your own portfolio, with the potential to earn ongoing commissions based on your performance.
Qualifications
- Matric or National Senior Certificate
- Insurance qualification or credits relevant to commercial lines insurance (based on date of first appointment)
- Class of Business or Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training, if applicable
- FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5)
- Own reliable transport and a valid code B driver's license
Experience
- At least 2 years of face-to-face or intermediary sales experience in selling short-term insurance
- Experience working with advice records and B2B sales
Deliverables
- Building and managing your own insurance portfolio
- Prospecting for new clients via networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing
- Conducting comprehensive needs analysis for prospective clients
- Providing ongoing service and support to clients, including amendments, renewals, and claim registration
- Continuously expanding your client base to secure future income
- Achieving or exceeding sales targets consistently
- Providing feedback to management when requested
- Attending weekly and ad hoc team meetings
- Adhering to all quality standards and measures
