Job description

Amazon is looking for a Team Lead to manage Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) within a single or multiple Product families. Amazon Vendor Services are a suite of services designed to help Amazon's most strategic vendors grow and deliver the best customer experience by working across all key retail levers (e.g., selection, availability, operational efficiency, catalog quality, and marketing).

The service is delivered primarily through AVS specialists assigned to specific vendors. Amazon has an ambitious vision for the future of this service, focusing on business impact for vendors and categories, operational scalability, and vendor satisfaction. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for delivering impact to a group of strategic vendors through a team of AVS specialists reporting to you. Your priorities include helping vendors improve their performance across key retail metrics, ensuring their satisfaction with the service, and continuously improving your team's productivity. You will collaborate closely with Vendor Managers to understand vendor needs and define appropriate goals and targets.

You will also contribute to continuous enhancements and innovations within the service. The ideal candidate should be passionate about managing and developing people, highly analytical, resourceful, and customer-focused. Proven experience in delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments while managing conflicting stakeholder needs is essential.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Partner with Vendor Managers and key retail category functions to define priorities and operational goals based on vendor needs.
  2. Manage relationships with the most important vendors subscribed to the AVS service through the AVS specialists.
  3. Lead a team of Brand Specialists managing joint business plans to deliver significant business impact.
  4. Regularly audit metrics to ensure quality in vendor and employee experiences across multiple sub-categories.
  5. Work with AVS specialists to promote tool adoption, offshore process efficiency, and team productivity.
  6. Identify required skills within the team to support vendors with specific challenges and opportunities.
  7. Develop team members' skillsets and allocate resources effectively to support vendors.
  8. Grow and develop talent pools for future Amazon roles.
  9. Drive business results through team efforts.
  10. Lead high-impact projects aligned with AVS strategy and success metrics.
  11. Prepare the team for future roles in AVS management, Vendor Management, or global positions.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
  2. 3+ years of experience in market research analysis, product management, or similar roles.
  3. 4+ years in quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, or e-commerce.
  4. Bachelor's degree.
  5. Experience in cross-team collaboration and people management (minimum 3 years).
  6. Experience in management consulting, investment banking, or brand management at leading consumer packaged goods companies.
  7. Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments in large organizations like Amazon.
