Duties & Responsibilities

Environment:

Since the early 2000s, our client has been a leader in the wound care scene in South Africa, offering top-notch service and support through a dedicated, well-trained national sales team. Their R&D team is focused on creating high-quality, advanced wound care products, most of which are made locally. They are now seeking a driven, ambitious, and organized Junior Sales Representative fluent in Afrikaans and English to join their team. In this role, you'll promote, grow, and secure their market share of innovative wound care products within the Private Care Hospitals sector in Johannesburg. You will build strong, ethical relationships and drive sales growth professionally with healthcare professionals and key hospitals.

Key Duties:

  • Promote current and new products.
  • Identify business opportunities to sell all products.
  • Meet and exceed annual budgets.
  • Consistently work towards achieving targets.
  • Grow and maintain accounts.
  • Work responsibly in the field.
  • Be goal-driven and a team player.

Management by Objectives:

  • Plan effectively to meet sales and marketing objectives.
  • Follow through on objectives responsibly.
  • Take personal accountability for performance.
  • Manage personal workload efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights in the company's CRM system, providing regular feedback.

Reporting:

  • Record daily sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Provide weekly progress reports.
  • Prepare weekly planning schedules.
  • Submit monthly forecasts timely.
  • Attend all business meetings.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including reports, leave forms, expense claims, etc.
  • Maintain and manage stock, following correct procedures and security protocols.
  • Assist with tenders when required.

Team Collaboration:

  • Build and manage relationships with clients and internal support staff.
  • Provide excellent pre- and post-sales service.
  • Maintain a client visit rate as directed by the National Sales Manager.
  • Visit hospital management, CSSD, and procurement weekly to discuss products, stock, and orders.
  • Conduct oneself professionally at all times.

Requirements:

  • Post-matric or relevant qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
