Internship Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide a professional learning experience to build Rentokil Initial sales knowledge, exposure, skills, and experience in a practical work environment. The intern will have the opportunity for career exploration and development through an accredited Learnership, internal RISA Sales Methodology, and on-the-job sales training. The role involves assisting in growing the company portfolio, promoting and selling products, services, and solutions to existing clients, and sourcing new customers by identifying leads and business development opportunities.

Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
- Close and formalize deals with customers, ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements.
- Utilize sales tools in line with the sales process to maintain and develop a sales pipeline and customer database.
- Increase conversion rates of sales driven by marketing campaigns and provide feedback on results.
- Demonstrate ethical sales behavior at all times, respecting diversity among colleagues and customers.
- Achieve predetermined sales targets, including contracts and jobbing opportunities.
- Complete and maintain all sales administration and reporting systems in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Identify potential business through research, prospecting, tele-canvassing, and cold calling.
- Attend to phone inquiries and leads from colleagues.
- Conduct sales calls and presentations to new or existing customers.
- Undertake needs analysis by conducting thorough surveys of client premises.
- Complete site risk assessments for client proposals.
- Present proposals to clients, including pricing structures and service benefits.
- Seek client acceptance and obtain authorization for new service agreements.
- Approach client portfolios for annual price adjustments.
- Maintain and improve client retention by building professional relationships.
- Focus on building relationships with clients, especially during their first year of agreement.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to expand the client portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience
