Role Responsibilities

You will primarily work within the Google Cloud Environment, utilizing tools such as BigQuery, Dataproc, Kubernetes, and AI Hub.

Ideal candidates will dream in Python and speak SQL.

You should be comfortable working with complex, messy data to help the team interpret it.

Our goal is to turn data into compelling stories and visuals that support business decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferably a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, or Informatics.
• 5+ years of development experience with Python.
• Proficiency in data skills, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with large-scale ETL processes.
• Experience developing high-scale Restful Services.
• Cloud experience, preferably with Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with source control systems like Git.

Beneficial Skills

• Scheduling and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Composer.
• Containerisation technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with BigQuery, Elastic Search, Data Warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of data governance, Apache Beam (Cloud Dataflow), Apache Spark (Dataproc).
