Job description

Position has become available to manage Contracts and the sales administration functions.

Role Objective :

To manage the sales administration team and functions, including sales admin systems, product costing, pricing, quotations, tenders, and contract management.

The goal is to retain existing customers and margins while growing the business.

Additionally, manage export sales and logistics administration.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience :
  • B Degree (NQF7) in Sales and Marketing, Law, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of sales administration experience (management experience is advantageous)
  • ERP systems experience
  • Contracts management experience and related legal knowledge
  • Proven high mathematical competency
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (data analysis, mathematical formulas, graphs, reports)
  • High level of English proficiency, both written and verbal
  • Motivated self-starter and independent worker
  • Observant with initiative-taking ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and sometimes outside normal business hours
  • At least 3 years of internal sales and export experience
  • At least 3 years of ERP system experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work independently
Key Responsibilities include :
  • Managing the sales administration team and processes
  • Product costing and pricing for RFQ and tender submissions, including administration on platforms like Ariba and SAP
  • Aligning contract terms with legal requirements
  • Contract management, including price adjustments and supporting indices
  • Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers
  • Data analysis and reporting of commercial information
  • Verifying document accuracy
  • Responding to customer queries
  • Liaising with Dispatch for timely deliveries
  • Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
  • Prioritizing export sales orders and coordinating with production and dispatch
  • Assisting the debtor's department with customer queries and reconciliation
  • Submitting compliance certificates as required
  • Managing export logistics, including order processing, documentation, and liaising with logistics providers
  • Ensuring SARS compliance with export documentation
  • Monitoring and reporting cargo in transit
