General Summary of Duties

The General Manager (GM) oversees all site operations, including recruiting staff, ensuring site safety, managing facilities, providing customer service, driving sales, ensuring site compliance, and developing the car wash team.

Reports to: District Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt / Non-Exempt

Physical Demands: Occasional prolonged walking / standing, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.

Essential Functions

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members
• Foster a culture of accountability and adherence to operational procedures
• Ensure onboarding, orientation, and training are completed for new teammates, staying updated on process changes
• Provide ongoing development and coaching for AGMs and high-potential hourly teammates
• Collaborate with HR on disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations
• Partner with District Manager to increase local volume and sales through community outreach and marketing
• Assist with budget planning and forecasting
• Manage customer inquiries and follow-up promptly and professionally
• Review payroll reports and approve payroll and commissions timely
• Complete checklists accurately and on schedule
• Ensure sales scripts and procedures are followed
• Maintain site safety and compliance with all laws and regulations
• Build customer relationships through excellent service and membership sales
• Create weekly schedules and manage labor costs
• Conduct site walk-throughs to ensure safety, efficiency, and service standards
• Address customer issues and work with District Manager for resolution
• Coordinate with Facilities to maintain equipment and minimize downtime
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or related field is a plus.

Experience: At least three years of management experience required; restaurant or hospitality management experience is highly preferred; automotive or car wash industry experience is a plus.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize effectively.
