SUMMARY :

POSITION INFO :

The responsibilities of this role include planning, budgets and forecasts, interpreting financial results, monitoring cash flow, capital expenditure programmes, management reporting systems development, special investigations/reports, operating efficiency studies, feasibility studies, and investment portfolios.

REQUIREMENTS
  • South African citizen.
  • Code B driver's license and own transport. Willing to work overtime and be available after business hours.
  • Business travel, nationally.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant tertiary education (CTA / CIMA advantageous)
  • Pastel Evolution / Xero experience advantageous.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Preparation of monthly statements, management reports, and demand letters.
  • Maintain confidentiality and non-disclosure of confidential information.
  • Maintain financial security through internal controls.
  • Comply with payment, reporting, and tax requirements as well as SARS regulations.
  • Quality control on invoicing by the company ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with and manage system reconciliations.
  • Manage credit applications from new clients and requests for new client accounts on relevant accounting systems.
  • Renewal of facility letters.
  • Sign off recons, cash flow, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Maintain all financial transactions affecting the creditors book and age analysis.
  • Prepare all documentation sent to clients/contractors professionally.
  • Prepare annual budgets and resets; assist with audits.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and releasing payments.
  • Implement and manage resources and procedures within budget guidelines.
  • Monitor service deliverables within budget.
  • Coordinate activities related to operation, pricing, sales, and distribution of client products.
  • Develop plans and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Continuously monitor performance of solutions and review financial and performance data.
  • Identify service cost estimates and areas for cost reduction and improvement.
  • Control and allocate sales and expense budgets.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
CAPABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
  • MS Office with excellent Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting & reporting, including external statutory reporting and audits.
  • Knowledge of data entry management.
  • Multi-functional project management.
  • Good understanding of strategic planning and management.
  • Knowledge of policy conceptualisation, analysis, and implementation.
  • Mathematical computation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • People management skills.
  • Knowledge of South African Taxation.
