Qualifications

• Completed BCom in Management Accounting or Financial Management
• Computer literate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Deadline-driven and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and own transport during office hours

Responsibilities

• Capture transactions in accounting records
• Perform reconciliations
• Perform bookkeeping up to trial balance
• Interpret clients’ accounting records and compile annual financial statements (IFRS for SMEs)
• Perform tax calculations and complete income tax and provisional tax returns
• Calculate VAT and PAYE and submit returns via E-filing
• Assist accountants with client matters and administrative tasks
• Resolve queries
• Perform tasks in line with the SAIPA competency framework
• Other duties related to the SAIPA Trainee Accountant role
