Job description

Role: BANK Chef De Partie

Location: The Wellington Hospital, London

Shifts: Flexible shift patterns, between Monday and Sunday, 6:30am to 10pm

Salary: £13.81/hour

Thrive in a kitchen where every meal matters more.

Forget any preconceptions you might have about hospital food. The food you create for us – all made from fresh ingredients and prepared on site – will be as eye-opening and enticing as meals served by the best hotels and restaurants. You’ll build on any commercial kitchen experience, working under the supervision of a Sous Chef or Head Chef and will be assigned a specific station on the line.

While the kitchen environment might be familiar, your work will be a vital part of the total care package we offer, helping patients recover faster. Whether it’s providing high-quality nutrition, comforting food, or visually appealing meals, your contribution will significantly impact patient care.

Who We’re Looking For

While formal qualifications are not required, we seek someone eager to learn and develop new skills. You should:

  • Have in-depth knowledge of baking standards, cooking, and grilling techniques
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Learn new recipes and procedures quickly
  • Demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills
  • Work efficiently and cooperatively within a team
