Warehouse Manager Job Description
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Industrial, Warehousing Management, or Supply Chain Management
- Experience in a Warehouse and operations environment, managing various distribution sites
- Experience managing OHS and Safety guidelines
- Ability to plan and manage varying capacity demand and supply daily
- Excellent computer skills; experience with NAV or Microsoft Business Central is an advantage
- Experience implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean Principles
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans and policies to improve Warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and safety standards
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service strategically
- Efficiently plan and manage people, processes, and system resources to meet cost and customer service targets
- Establish and uphold high standards in inbound, put-away, storage, and outbound processes
- Provide reliable customer service, maintain high inventory accuracy, quality, and controls
- Manage stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized Warehouse environment
- Identify waste in Warehouse processes and implement improvements
- Build and maintain a safety culture aligned with company and occupational health standards
- Coordinate with supply chain functions to ensure smooth information flow and customer satisfaction
- Review process improvements, cost analysis, scheduling, and stakeholder relationships in logistics management
- Oversee management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet
- Implement projects to foster continuous improvement and team development
- Set high standards in receiving, storage, and dispatch processes
- Evaluate team performance against SOP standards
- Manage daily and monthly KPI reporting, including on-time performance, accuracy, discrepancies, and productivity
- Maintain warehouse condition and equipment, optimize layouts, and supervise inventory accuracy through cycle counts and annual counts
- Optimize and improve Warehouse systems and processes, applying supply chain best practices
- Lead, develop, and evaluate Warehouse staff to promote growth and learning
- Foster a workplace culture consistent with the company's values
- Interact with suppliers to optimize packaging and costs
- Support operational issue resolution and escalate problems as needed
- Control Warehouse expenses, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions
- Drive logistics and warehouse improvement projects and manage inter-departmental communication to improve OTD
- Align and manage stock levels and safety stock
