The purpose of this role is to ensure the safety, quality and financial performance of drilling operations in the entity. In addition, this role will be responsible to lead the Account Management team to execute drilling contracts effectively.

Tasks:
- Monitor and control Project (tender) budgets and identify interventions when required. (On time, Budget, Quality, Efficiency.)
- Create monthly budgets for relevant accounts.
- Review and approve Project Expenditure.
- Monitor Project productivity and identify interventions when required.
- Develop a Project Readiness Plan.
- Source and provide operational information for effective and accurate estimation of new project proposals.
- Source contract initiation resources including human resources, inventory, plant & machinery, sub-contractors and capital.
- Conduct distribution planning and scheduling of contract initiation resources including human resources, inventory & plant & machinery.
- Ensure compliance with government regulatory, tax and legislative requirements before and during distribution of resources.
- Ensure compliance with client contract initiation requirements for effective on-boarding of resources.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions and identify and control contract initiation baseline risks.
Projects Execution/Management:
- Ensure that the Project Readiness Plan is delivered in accordance with schedule, budget and scope requirements.
- Review and approve monthly budgets and expenditure (for projects and tenders.)
- Monitor project productivity and identify corrective action interventions when required.
- Monitor and integrate cost saving initiatives into budgets and controls expenditure within approved parameters.
- Start-up and operational controls (i.e. shift reporting, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, maintenance schedules etc.)
- Contract administration (i.e. variance reports, variations to commercial agreement, invoicing etc.)
- SHEQ compliance.
- Compliance audits (i.e. contract, SHEQ etc)
Stakeholder Relations:
- Manage relationships with clients, mines and sub-contractors.
- Create effective relations with Group Shared Services, as well as with supply chain, HR, IT, Finance, SHEQ and commercial teams, and adhere to SLAs.
- Engage with commercial teams and provide input relating to claims and scope changes.
New Business Development:
- Identify potential organic growth opportunities, new business- and cross selling opportunities with existing clients.
- Develop and implement business development strategy for the area.
Team Leadership:
- Perform Visible Felt Leadership on sites.
- Supervise site project team.
- Selection, development, and motivation of the Project team to contribute effectively and efficiently.
- Team performance by monitoring performance standards and taking action to correct deviations to achieve the entity objectives.
Requirements & Qualification:
- Diploma/Certificate in Engineering.(or equivalent.)
- Project Management experience. Minimum Experience
- Relevant Operational/Project Management experience: Minimum 5 years.
- Supervisory experience in a Mining environment: Minimum 5 years. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- This role requires local and occasional international travel within the region with temporary relocation possible.
- Required to work underground as required.
- Rotational deployment may be required.
