Introduction

Our client, a leading telecommunications company based in Fourways, is looking for a Network Architect.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the deployment of the access, metro, and core fibre routes.
• Be acknowledged as a third-level technical expert in network fibre planning and deployment.
• Perform site surveys and create survey reports.
• Plan new access and core duct and fibre routes, spurs, and PoP site entries.
• Create designs, budgets, BOM, and BOS for fibre projects.
• Audit and maintain as-built records.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in a technical field.
• At least 8 years of technical experience in the telecom industry.
• At least 5 years in network fibre planning and design or an equivalent role.
• Optical networking experience, including OTDR, optical link budget calculations, fibre types, and testing.
• Expertise in GIS and OSS systems.
• In-depth knowledge of fibre providers, their networks, and products.
