Job description

To lead and manage the commercial vehicle sales team, ensuring profitable sales of commercial vehicles while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting dealership targets.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage the commercial sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies for new and used commercial vehicles.

Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory turnover.

Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet, business, and government clients.

Conduct regular training and development for the sales team.

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports.

Oversee pricing strategies, trade-in valuations, and deal structures.

Coordinate closely with the finance and service departments to ensure smooth customer transactions.

Ensure compliance with OEM standards and company policies.

Represent the dealership at relevant business networking events and expos.

Key Requirements :

Matric (Grade 12) – Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, or Marketing is advantageous.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial vehicle sales.

At least 2 years in a sales management or team leader role.

Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Strong understanding of commercial vehicles, fleet management, and business-to-business (B2B) sales.

Valid driver’s license (Code 08 / B or higher).

Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

Customer-centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Analytical with strong reporting and planning ability.

Self-driven with a hands-on approach and results orientation.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions.
