Job description

Leading medical supplier requires a Technology Consultant for the Johannesburg East Rand Area
  1. Develop & understand how to maintain and develop current business and seek new business opportunities.
  2. Sales and marketing of all products within the designated range.
  3. Attend theatre cases to learn, develop, and apply knowledge in a theatre environment, providing technical support when required.
  4. Ensure full compliance during hospital procedures, adhering to the SAMED code of conduct & CRICE.
  5. Prepare, review, and update surgeon preference lists, including quotes.
  6. Develop skills to conduct customer calls to drive business growth.
  7. Lead the development of existing and new accounts.
  8. Plan and coordinate sales calls and strategies.
  9. Provide ongoing training to surgeons, registrars, and theatre staff.
  10. Achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives outlined in the annual sales plan for the territory.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • BSc Degree in Human Movement / Health Sciences.
  • 6+ years of experience as a medical device sales representative or proven industry experience with the above qualification.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong communication, planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, coaching, facilitation, and feedback skills.
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work after hours.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Hepatitis B or start the vaccination process at employment commencement.
