Our client, a proudly South African Manufacturing company, seeks an experienced Processing Foreman to manage and control production, staff and processes to meet business objectives and targets.
POSITION INFO :
Minimum Job Requirements :
- Matric.
- National Diploma in Engineering or Technical Trade.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ Management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally on technical issues within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate, engage and motivate a heterogeneous workforce.
- Demonstrate a high attention-to-detail orientation.
- Strong safety and risk mindedness.
- Proven ability to drive positive change in a team environment.
- Willing to work shifts.
The Job :
Report to the Processing Manager :
- Manage the execution of the processing plan and process flow.
- Check that correct tools and quality of materials are being used
- Identify defects and / errors in the processing process and conduct investigations.
- Resolve all escalated issues received from direct reports timeously.
- Conduct quality checks to verify adherence to standard operating procedures and inspect quality specifications.
- Organise & co-ordinate staff and resources to achieve desired work output, targets & outcomes.
- Develop and maintain communication structures and communicate work requirements and relevant information to direct reports.
- Support Management in driving a cost-effective and efficient operation to maximise business profits.
- Provide staff with support, responsible for time and attendance and disciplinary of staff.
- Adhere and enforce all health and safety regulations and report all safety hazards, accidents and incidents to relevant parties.
- Increase efficiencies by reducing downtime and minimising scrap.
- Provide Management with reporting on production variances, downtime and any other relevant reporting required.
- Lead daily operation meetings.
- Adhere to set out world-class manufacturing standards to ensure the company remains competitive.
