Job description

Location : Scotland, North East, Yorkshire, Derbyshire

We are expanding our Sales team and introducing a new role of Business Development Manager.

This is an exciting time to join our team as we introduce this key role that will drive market expansion and improve access to care for patients. The Business Development Manager works in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Team to build partnerships with Consultants and other Senior Healthcare professionals.

This role is predominantly focused within secondary care, aiming to develop and expand services to give patients increased access to intermittent catheterisation and SpeediCath products.

Key accountabilities include:
  1. Work closely with the Territory Manager and Regional Business Leader to grow sales in key accounts.
  2. Develop, expand, and implement IC services within secondary care across the region.
  3. Create service solutions and business cases aligned with funding, patient, and referral flows; influence decision-makers to embed solutions in trusts.
  4. Build impactful relationships with customers, focusing on Consultants and senior stakeholders.
  5. Maintain relationships and target accounts effectively across the region.
  6. Leverage Consultant support to unlock formularies in the community.
  7. Design KPIs to monitor and review service delivery.
  8. Coordinate educational events involving Consultants and stakeholders.
  9. Ensure services align with CCG strategy, working with the NHS Partnership Manager.
  10. Identify Key Opinion Leaders and develop partnerships with them.
  11. Lead ad hoc projects aligned with annual business planning.
  12. Conduct monthly business reviews with RBL and stakeholders, executing actions per the Regional Business Plan.
  13. Collaborate with other IC BDMs to share initiatives and best practices.
Experience requirements:

Candidates should demonstrate experience in:

  • Working within acute Urology/Neurology services (preferred).
  • Understanding NHS environment, funding, patient flow, and discussing implications confidently.
  • Designing and reengineering NHS services.
  • Product and clinical knowledge in medical/pharmaceutical environments.
  • Developing business cases and analyzing data for insights.
  • Managing dispersed senior stakeholder networks, including consultants.
  • Delivering formularies and therapy development in secondary care.
  • Field-based sales and account management skills.
  • Possession of a Full Driving Licence.
