Job description

Job Summary :

We are looking for a people-focused yet technical and detail-oriented team player who can work at a consistent and predictable pace to supervise the Housekeeping Room Attendant Team.

Organisational Positioning :

  • Reporting to: Executive Housekeeper
  • Location: The Twelve Apostles Hotel Premises

BEHAVIOURAL SUMMARY :

The focus of this position is to act as a leader, utilizing the diverse team of unique individuals to their fullest. Team leaders should be examples and are also classified as training officers, possessing vast knowledge of the front desk and the hotel group.

Key Performance Objectives :

  • Ensure that every room is checked and updated on the PMS system as per SOP.
  • Manage all allocated room attendants to ensure that Room Attendant duties are completed and prioritized in accordance with arrival times.
  • Check hourly on the allocated section of public areas, ensuring they are cleaned and maintained to Hotel standards.
  • Ensure that the storerooms are laid out and kept to Hotel standards.
  • Check that all vacuum cleaners are in full working order.
  • Verify that linen is in a good state of repair before being utilized in a room.
  • Report all maintenance issues and follow up to ensure they are dealt with promptly.
  • Ensure that all aesthetics in the room are laid out as per the Owners’ standards.
  • Assist with the monthly stock-take and quarterly operating equipment count.
  • Ensure thorough communication by holding briefings with the team every morning and afternoon.
