Account Manager
Our client, a dynamic player in the insurance and technology space, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their team in Pretoria. This role is central to maintaining long-term client relationships and acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal operational teams. The ideal candidate will have deep industry insight, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for client engagement and strategic account growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure account profitability and business growth
- Own and execute the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) plan
- Build and manage engagement structures and processes with clients
- Understand client businesses, particularly in the insurance sector, and align solutions to their needs
- Present and translate the company’s value proposition effectively
- Lead and facilitate executive-level engagements with clients
- Negotiate and collaborate with clients to foster trust and long-term value
- Manage client expectations and maintain strong, service-oriented relationships
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (Account Managers, Ops, Product Owners, Delivery) to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor SLA compliance and drive high levels of client satisfaction
- Align client requirements with company objectives and manage within approved budgets
- Assess risks and provide recommendations
- Facilitate and support both internal and client audits
Qualifications & Experience:
- Business-related degree (essential)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in account management or client engagement
- Strong commercial background and understanding of profitability drivers
- Proven experience managing IT software and service delivery projects
- Solid insurance industry knowledge is required
