Qualifications

  • Durchführung kontinuierlicher Inspektionen während der Fertigung.
  • Endinspektion der fertiggestellten Ausrüstung vor der endgültigen Abnahme.

Job description

Opportunity for Quality Inspector

Reference: JHB-MJS-2

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team based in Olifantsfontein, South Africa.

The ideal candidate will have a background in quality control / inspection, with essential experience in boilermaking and welding.

A qualification in boilermaking and/or welding will be beneficial.

The Quality Inspector will ensure that all Quality Control Inspections on heavy industrial equipment and processes supplied by the company meet the required standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee strict adherence to Quality Control Plans during manufacturing phases.
  2. Ensure all interventions on Quality Control Plans are adhered to.
  3. Verify that all drawings issued for manufacturing are approved and to the latest revision.
  4. Verify correct welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records (WQR) are implemented during manufacturing.
  5. Ensure all material is properly marked to provide traceability.
  6. Ensure all welding consumable certificates are on record.
  7. Ensure daily welding checklist inspections to ISO standards are completed and recorded.
  8. Ensure welding consumable issue records and traceability are maintained.
  9. Ensure all intervention points on QCP's are signed off progressively.
  10. Conduct continuous inspections on equipment during manufacturing phases.
  11. Ensure weld mapping is kept and recorded during manufacturing and archived on the server.
  12. Ensure welding inspections comply with drawings prior to non-destructive testing.
  13. Ensure corrosion protection documentation is compiled and on record.
  14. Responsible for final inspection on completed equipment and pile punch lists on deficiencies observed on completion of equipment prior to final inspection.
  15. Support the Workshop Manager in quality-related aspects during manufacturing phases.
  16. Adhere to all Universal Fans quality standards and ISO requirements.
  17. Ensure compliance with customer requirements regarding Quality Control.
  18. Report to the Manager of Quality regarding all quality-related matters.

  • 3+ years experience in quality control (inspection, information reporting, etc.)
  • Strong team player.
  • Quality-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Experienced in report writing.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and time management to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve deficiencies and problems.
  • Strong communication skills.
