Job Description

To provide proactive management of marketing and communications activities in accordance with the Sandvik business model. This role will oversee the development and execution of Divisional and Sales area marketing strategies, develop business and communication strategies for various channels and stakeholders both internally and externally. Additionally, this role will serve as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Team (Directors / Senior Management), providing administrative and office support, including managing the travel system platform.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and track marketing initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product & sales) to develop and monitor marketing initiatives for the Africa territories, including establishing event/marketing plans aligned with the budget.
  3. Monitor and report on marketing spend in accordance with the annual budget.
  4. Coordinate with other African country marketing teams for SRP marketing initiatives.
  5. Work with external marketing service providers to develop and agree on the annual budget and external publications, liaising with the VP and internal content providers.
  6. Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
  7. Support the development of marketing materials and liaise with global marketing & product teams to ensure relevant materials are available for sales areas.
  8. Organize and coordinate marketing events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  9. Collaborate with the global marketing team to promote Africa content and stories via LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  10. Drive NPS initiatives using CRM accounts, coordinating efforts to increase response rates and improve NPS feedback.
Communications & Internal Engagement
  1. Draft and distribute internal communications to stakeholders via SRP Africa channels.
  2. Coordinate with managers to ensure organizational updates are effectively communicated and establish an annual communications calendar and internal events.
  3. Set up and support internal communication webinars, including material development.
  4. Develop internal communication plans and models to enhance communication effectiveness.
  5. Ensure branding consistency across office locations and employee materials in line with Sandvik guidelines.
Executive Assistant & Office Administration
  1. Provide proactive support to Managing Directors and the senior executive team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and handling administrative tasks such as expense claims.
  2. Plan and coordinate management team events, including off-site strategy sessions.
  3. Assist with meeting preparations, including board meetings.
  4. Book and coordinate travel arrangements, serving as a key user of the travel system and supporting travelers as needed.
  5. Maintain a professional and organized office environment, managing supplies and supporting office-based events and meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration preferred. Relevant qualifications (Diploma, Certificate) with experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of corporate experience in marketing and communications roles.
