Job description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To promote and sell the Bank’s product bouquet to clients through responsible sales activities. Responsible for sourcing and developing new contacts, prospects, and sales leads through the Bank’s internal campaigns and personal referrals.

Key Performance Inputs/Activities

  1. Sales Focus
  • Achieve customer growth, revenue, and collection targets as defined by the bank.
  • Meet and exceed individual activity metrics across all product lines.
  • Meet, exceed, and effectively execute all sales and customer targets set by the bank.
  • Implement the bank’s sales strategy concerning Product & Value-Added Services (Upselling, Cross-selling, Capital Take-Up).
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Convert all sales opportunities from inbound requests, outbound calls, lead generation initiatives, and customer queries.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to generate new business.
  • Participate in cross-selling bank products.
  • Maintain detailed pipeline management and prospect data.
  • Arrange in-person visits, appointments, and presentations, following up where necessary.
  • Conduct professional financial needs analyses to support sales.
  • Schedule customer feedback sessions for document collection and progress updates.
  • Adhere to supervision requirements for all financial products.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
  • Ensure effective cash management, CAM, and credit card administration as authorized.
  • Take accountability for personal results.
  • Marketing Focus
    • Stay informed about products, services, and competitive activities.
    • Identify referral opportunities within and around the branch.
    • Support branch goals by generating new business through marketing, promotions, telemarketing, and targeted initiatives.
    • Participate in community events to promote the bank and increase business opportunities.
    • Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Risk & Compliance Focus
    • Review and complete product applications accurately and timely to ensure deal quality.
    • Comply with all customer interaction policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Report incidents related to AML, fraud, and dishonesty promptly through the correct channels.
    • Maintain a “zero-defect” approach in deal quality and financial data capturing.
    • Follow FAIS guidelines and qualification requirements.
  • Customer Service
    • Adhere to the bank’s customer service standards and legislation.
    • Follow TCF principles.
    • Maintain professionalism and help team members improve customer engagement.
    • Fulfill customers’ financial needs and ensure application quality and timely resolution of queries.
  • Training & Development
    • Participate in ongoing sales and service training to address developmental needs.
    • Complete all relevant product, service, risk, and compliance training initiatives.
  • Operational Activities
    • Follow all security, safety, and operational procedures within the branch.
    • Perform administrative duties as required by management.

    Minimum Education

    NQF level 6 FSCA-aligned/business qualification; RE5 preferred.

    Minimum Experience

    At least 2 years of sales and client service experience, with full representative status across all product categories.
