Job summary

A leading company in the pharmaceutical sector is seeking an Electrical Specialist for their manufacturing plant in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have an N6 in Electrical Engineering, trade-tested as an Electrician or Millwright, and possess strong PLC knowledge. Responsibilities include maintenance of electrical systems, fault finding, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years maintenance experience in Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage environment.
• Experience in HVAC and MV systems advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience Required

N6 in Electrical Engineering

Trade tested either as an Electrician or Millwright

5 Years maintenance experience in the Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage environment

Working Knowledge of AC and DC drives,

Must be able to program and set up

Strong PLC knowledge is essential

Experience In HVAC and MV systems advantageous

Duties

Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as per schedules

Carry out repairs on electro-pneumatic systems

Fault finding and repairs to electrical systems

Wiring and panel building

Maintenance of building and facilities' electrical systems

Work in a safe manner

Be prepared to work shifts, standby and attend to call-outs

Attend to breakdowns

Ensure all electrical installations comply with the relevant electrical regulations
