Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has been created to join our dynamic and driven Sales Division, in the role of Group Corporate Sales Manager.

The role involves driving total account management and 360 sales from key group corporate clients, associations, and agents with predominantly group corporate focus; including local Universities, Sporting Clubs and agents, Member organisations, whilst developing bonds with key local partners and stakeholders.

This is a proactive role with your time being appropriately split in managing the existing client base, whilst seeking out new clients and cultivating new business opportunities for your specific region whilst also seeking the opportunity to cross-sell all Apex venues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Total account management of key group corporate clients and partners, seeking out new business opportunities for the wider Apex portfolio of hotels to maximise profit.
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of all accounts, build relationships with key customers and drive and maximise additional opportunities within those accounts to increase market share and maximise profit across all ancillary revenue streams and opportunities within food and beverage and meetings and events.
  • Generate revenue growth using a consultative selling approach to maintain and expand relationships with the large national and multi-regional accounts, driving negotiation on value vs. price.
  • Possess and continually develop a full understanding of the local corporate marketplace/key drivers, local contacts, analyse and report on market information.
  • Work with the Corporate Sales Director to identify new market opportunities for Apex and develop bespoke offerings for current and potential clients.
  • Research, identify and establish new business sales contacts, develop relationships and distribution opportunities.
  • Sales lead generation, research and conversion for all market segments together with competitor intelligence reporting.
  • Create and deliver strong customer presentations to demonstrate the Apex value proposition and benefits it provides to our corporate customers.
  • Develop strong relationships with Group Corporate Travel Managers / Procurement teams.
  • Create and fulfil Account Development plans for key accounts.
  • Plan and execute sales activity including research, telesales, site/hotel show rounds, entertaining and client road shows.
  • Maintain up-to-date activity reports advising of new business and ongoing pipeline enquiries.
  • Analyse the group corporate and M&E, pick up & pace on a monthly basis, ensuring action is taken where necessary.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual business review reports, as requested by Corporate Sales Director.
  • Own assigned Corporate Sales Budget and fulfil respective sales activity plan.
  • Attend relevant networking events and ensure follow up is done post event.
  • Efficient use of property management system or other systems and tools to manage accounts and activities.
  • Assist and support with ad hoc projects as required by the Corporate Sales Director.
