Role Overview: Scrum Master – Project Manager

The Scrum Master – Project Manager is responsible for defining, teaching, and enforcing good project and Scrum management practices. They possess a versatile toolkit to resolve complex, interdependent activities into manageable tasks, which are documented, monitored, and controlled. They adapt their approach to each project's context and constraints, managing a functional Scrum team with a focus on continuous delivery of project outputs, technical debt, information security, and production support.

  1. Manage 2 to 3 Scrum teams simultaneously.
  2. Define and agree on the Definition of Ready and Done with the team; ensure backlog grooming and prioritization; facilitate daily stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Grooming sessions, and Retrospectives using provided templates; track progress with burn-down charts; assist in Sprint planning and backlog prioritization; identify and manage impediments and dependencies; attend Scrum of Scrums; and manage defect backlogs and decision registers.
Additional Responsibilities

Manage 1 to 3 projects or 1 program concurrently, ensuring accountability for project outcomes. Lead projects with passion, following TU PSO processes, managing timelines, budgets, issues, risks, scope changes, and documentation. Define project roles and responsibilities, work closely with stakeholders, and perform proactive project tracking to identify potential issues early.

Qualifications
  • Scrum Master certification or SAFe Lean Agile certification (advantageous)
  • Tertiary qualification
  • At least 5 years of project management experience and 2 years in Scrum
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and assertive
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to manage project scope, requirements, and client expectations effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office and JIRA
