Our client is a Stellenbosch-based technology company that designs and builds digital technology solutions for customers across Africa and beyond, aiming to create productive societies.

They are seeking to employ a Senior Developer with 8+ years of programming experience in any language, with strong SQL (PostgreSQL) skills, to join their eVouchering team. This team benefits smallholder farmers and medical service beneficiaries across Africa.

The role's purpose is to contribute to making the current platform more scalable and to improve its system processes, positively impacting approximately 26 million users.

Qualification and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in information technology are advantageous.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL (preferably PostgreSQL), including strong data processing skills; statistical analysis experience is a plus.
• Problem-solving programming experience.
• Experience with JavaScript is highly advantageous.

What you will do

This role involves full-stack development, participating in the entire software development lifecycle. You will help make the platform more scalable and efficient, impacting millions of users.

Our products are hosted on the Helium Platform and include RESTful APIs, web applications, and cross-platform mobile apps written in JavaScript. The desktop/browser experience is developed in Helium's proprietary language. Technologies used include Helium, PostgreSQL, Atom, Sublime Text, and Bitbucket.
