Job description

Key Responsibilities : Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique etc.

Identify and establish partnerships with local distributors, cooperatives, and large-scale farms.

Manage and grow sales of agricultural chemicals including herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.

Monitor regional market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.

Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to promote product awareness and education through field demonstrations and farmer outreach.

Build, train, and support a network of local sales agents and agronomists.

Manage regional budget, forecasting, and reporting.

Represent the company at agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications and Experience : Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in agribusiness or agrochemical sales, with at least 3 years in a regional or managerial role.

Strong understanding of African agricultural practices, crops, and challenges.

Proven track record in business development, sales management, and distributor relations.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Willingness to travel extensively as required.
