As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be working with the engineering team and focusing on Azure infrastructure management and support. A key part of the role is troubleshooting and maintaining Azure infrastructure for our customers. You will work closely with the head of Cloud Solutions and our customer’s IT teams to support, manage, and optimize our customers' Azure environments.

Requirements

• One or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python)
• One or more version control platforms (e.g. Git, Perforce, SVN, TFVC)
• Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
• Exposure to virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen)
• Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Provision, configure, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure defined as code
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows-based systems
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of Azure infrastructure and systems
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

Hard Skills

Advanced experience in administration and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following:

• DevOps / Deployment
• Orchestration Management
• Configuration Management
• Continuous Integration technology (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or related tools)
• Advanced experience with system administration with Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (Active Directory, Exchange)
• Advanced experience with networking and troubleshooting (TCP / IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN / WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related)

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
