Job Description Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the retention and growth of assigned accounts, as well as generating revenue from new business.

This role involves closing small to high-value deals across the built environment value chain, from small to medium enterprise clients to large, blue-chip companies at senior management or director level.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Consultatively sell effective event, exhibition, and conference delegate solutions to new and existing clients.
  • Solicit new clients to exhibit and sponsor in assigned trade shows.
  • Make cold calls and have at least 30 conversations with clients daily.
  • Research potential new clients and prospects using various resources for business development.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and report on sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Promote and cross-sell within the built environment portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships through face-to-face meetings to identify future opportunities.
  • Allocate exhibition space and prioritize client placements based on their needs and featured products/services.
  • Prepare and manage contracts and paperwork in Salesforce.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to track and monitor sales plans and targets.
  • Participate in industry events to promote the company.
  • Assist in event logistics, including move-in/move-out, show features, and on-site management.
  • Ensure sales and customer service standards meet dmg events standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in B2B sales, venue, or sponsorship sales, preferably with advertising or sponsorship agencies or direct client contact.
  • Experience managing multiple customers and maintaining high-energy sales.
  • Relationship management skills, including maintaining client communication.
  • Ability to identify and pursue cross- and up-selling opportunities.
  • Probing questions skills to handle customer objections.
  • Good spoken and written English skills.
