The aim of this position is to blend products as per the works order (working instruction). The incumbent is required to work safely in a chemical environment, and follow the company and site rules. Plant (Forklift) Operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial machinery trucks to load and offload materials and deliveries, and move them to and from storage areas, loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.

Qualifications
  • Matric
  • Forklift Driver's Licence is advantageous
  • Driver's Licence is advantageous
Experience
  • 2-3 years experience, preferably in the Chemical Industry
Duties
  • Incoming Goods: Deliver basic plant tasks under supervision to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded in line with agreed procedures.
  • Outgoing Goods: Complete basic packaging tasks and assist others by following established procedures under supervision.
  • Inventory: Perform basic inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established inventory control procedures.
  • Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate basic equipment and machines, and carry out routine tasks, following strict, detailed instructions.
  • Document Preparation: Input content into standard templates, collate materials, and photocopy them.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Work according to an assigned schedule.
  • Operational Compliance: Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work is carried out to the required quality standards and adhere to external regulatory and internal codes of conduct.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow basic mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment, to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain skills through participation in assessment, development planning activities, and training.
