JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MID ARTWORKER

Role: Creative Artworker (Mid-Level)

Job Level: Mid (3-5 years' experience)

Type of Contract: 12 months FTC

Language: Proficiency in English is required

A Little Bit About the Role:
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of design principles and be able to translate legal concepts into engaging and visually appealing content. We want to create industry-leading, world-class work that’s truly beautiful, smart, and effective.

Reporting into the Lead Designer, the creative artworker supports in the creation and development of marketing materials for the law firm - this includes creating graphics, typesetting interactive PDFs, brochures, presentations, press ads, and LinkedIn posts. This role is for someone who is confident in their ability to manage multiple projects at once, work autonomously and as a part of a team, can stay cool under pressure, and deliver high-quality work in tight deadlines.

The artworker will also work closely with the client services team to execute projects. Additionally, the artworker will support in maintaining and updating the firm's brand guidelines.

You will take artwork briefs from the client services team and the client; therefore, the role demands a consistent and accurate approach to layout and design to fulfil the brief within agreed timescales. Taking personal responsibility for time management and the completion of timesheets are all important requirements. Adobe Creative Suite skills are essential, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Undertake artwork to the client's brief and exacting standards.
  • Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues and clients while providing excellent customer service.
  • Effectively manage workloads within agreed timescales.
  • Complete timesheets.
  • Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Take direction and feedback well, and act on them timeously.
  • Look for ways to technically improve existing creative.
  • Be a Brand guardian.
  • Take initiative, pride and accountability for work produced.
  • Take responsibility for continued professional development.
  • Work proactively under your own initiative and as part of the design team.
What You'll Need:
  • Advanced typesetting and typography skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and provide consistent artwork quality.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Ability to proof own work with a critical eye and think up design solutions when needed.
  • Experience in creation of a wide range of artwork collateral, such as print & digital adaptations, re-touching, image manipulation.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • You must be confident in taking and investigating briefs, raising concerns, and presenting work.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – principally InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • PPT knowledge.
  • E-mailers, banners, and digital experience is a plus.
You'll Have:
  • An excellent portfolio of varied artworking examples, specifically brochures, documents and iPDFs.
  • Languages spoken (English).
Good to have:
  • Experience in the professional services of a lawyer firm.
  • Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, showcasing a curiosity for exploring its applications and potential impact.
