REPORTS TO : RESORT MANAGER / COMPANY DIRECTOR

BRIEF OVERVIEW

This opportunity exists for a self-motivated marketing & sales professional to join a purpose-driven, on-site team in Yallingup.

Reporting to both the Company Director and the Resort Manager, the role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing and sales strategies aligned with the resort's strategic priorities and brand reputation.

This is a full-time position working 5 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL

  • Champion the SBR and Small Luxury Hotels of the World brands, ensuring all content adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a strategic Marketing and Communications Plan.
  • Determine strategies and tools for key message distribution to external stakeholders.
  • Prepare performance and campaign reports using analytics tools.
  • Design and produce marketing materials, both physical and digital, in collaboration with external providers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and marketing practices.
  • Assist in developing sponsorships and partnerships to foster community engagement and fulfill obligations.
  • Support Reservations and Guest Services teams as needed, including calls, reservations, and check-in / check-out processes.

SALES MANAGEMENT

  • Assist in leading the resort's sales strategy across leisure, corporate, group, and events markets.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop initiatives to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Build relationships with industry partners, travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners.
  • Coordinate familiarisation trips, sales events, and engagement activities.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and reviews.
  • Contribute to pricing and revenue strategies in collaboration with the resort manager.
  • Align sales activities with marketing strategies and brand standards.

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and implement targeted campaigns with external suppliers.
  • Maintain campaign schedules aligned with resort objectives.
  • Track and measure ROI, adjusting tactics as needed.
  • Manage eDM campaigns, including content, messaging, segmentation, and landing pages.

CONTENT STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT

  • Create compelling content to engage audiences, increase brand awareness, and drive interaction.
  • Implement an editorial calendar across platforms.
  • Oversee creation of SEO content and multimedia assets, including photoshoots and videos.
  • Manage blogs, articles, and itineraries.

WEBSITE

  • Maintain accurate website content and monitor site performance.
  • Manage API interface between RMS and the website.
  • Optimize website usability and metrics.
  • Create and optimize landing pages for campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with marketing laws and regulations.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Coordinate with digital consultants to align content with resort goals.
  • Innovate to increase engagement and reach.
  • Analyze performance data and adapt strategies.
  • Manage guest databases and email communications.
  • Coordinate influencer and ambassador partnerships.

HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

  • Follow all health, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in WHS committees, training, and audits.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, website, and social media engagement.
  • Proven experience in strategic marketing and sales planning.
  • Understanding media relations and PR practices.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and visual content creation skills.
  • Experience with website analytics (Google Analytics, WordPress).
  • Proficiency with design tools (Canva, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of resort guest motivations and luxury tourism marketing.
