Job description

Rand Water’s Graduate Development Programme is a structured, sector-aligned initiative aimed at developing the next generation of professionals in sustainable water management. The programme immerses graduates in a dynamic environment, equipping them with industry-relevant skills aligned with Occupationally Directed Education, Training, and Development Practices (ODETDP).

Graduates will receive training and mentorship in the following focus areas:

• Freshwater Aquatic Sciences
• Water Technology
• Wastewater Technology
• Digital Technology and Innovation

The programme includes hands-on training, fieldwork, laboratory work, digital tools application, and applied research. It aims to empower participants to contribute meaningfully to the water sector. Ultimately, graduates may lead key technical streams within the Rand Water Academy Technical School, supporting the Academy’s strategic goals of technical leadership and innovation.
