Job Overview: Diaspora Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Resources within the call center industry, with proven expertise in HR administration, performance management, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering HR services to support our call centers' goals and objectives.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and development of the organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. HR Administration
  2. Manage employee life cycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  3. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and security.
  4. Oversee payroll coordination, liaising with payroll team for timely salary processing.
  5. Administer leave records and monitor balances for compliance.
  6. Assist in preparing HR reports on employee metrics.
  7. Support HR initiatives like wellness programs and employee surveys.
  1. Performance Management
  2. Coordinate performance appraisals, ensuring timely feedback.
  3. Assist in developing performance improvement plans for underperformers.
  4. Develop and track individual development plans aligned with career and business needs.
  5. Advise managers on performance management tools.
  6. Support KPI roll-out and monitor employee progress.
  1. Employee Relations
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related matters.
  3. Assist in resolving conflicts and managing disciplinary processes.
  4. Organize employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  5. Create communication materials and conduct employee satisfaction surveys.
  6. Attend CCMA for disciplinary matters and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  1. Legal and Compliance
  2. Ensure HR processes comply with labor laws and industry standards.
  3. Conduct HR record audits and stay updated on employment legislation.
  4. Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and ensure workplace safety standards.
  1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
  2. Lead recruitment efforts, creating job descriptions and sourcing candidates.
  3. Conduct screenings and interviews, coordinate with hiring managers.
  4. Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and manage onboarding.
  5. Build talent pipelines for critical positions.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  2. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs.
  3. Develop relationships with key stakeholders and communicate HR policies.
  4. Provide HR updates and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field (Honors preferred).

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 5 years HR experience, with at least 3 years in a call center environment.

Requirements

Strong understanding of HR processes, labor law, proficiency in MS Office, HRIS systems, and HR software. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Effective collaboration skills and stakeholder influence.
