Financial Managers Assistant required in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
- B.Com or B.Tech in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting practice
- Advanced understanding of Excel
- Well presented and spoken
- Computer literate in: advanced Excel, Outlook, Pastel Partner, Quickbooks Online
Experience with:
- Processing interest and bank charges from bond, loan, and HP statements
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing monthly depreciation
- Monthly reconciliation of schedules for vehicles
- Processing interest and finance charges for vehicles
- Creating and maintaining reports of fixed assets and HPs
- Reconciling diesel statements to Quickbooks and purchase statements
- Tracking and processing sales accruals
- Performing VAT calculations and reconciling VAT for multiple companies
- Compiling and analyzing monthly management accounts for multiple entities
- Assisting other departments with monthly Excel sheets
- Comparing, analyzing, reconciling, and reporting differences between daily management reports and monthly management accounts
- Reconciling intercompany loan accounts, internal customers, and suppliers
- Assisting auditors with information required for monthly audits
- Analyzing physical stock counts and comparing to Quickbooks stock figures to investigate discrepancies
- Compiling information for the annual BEE audit
- Completing Stats SA questionnaires
- Creating formulated Excel sheets to automate processes
- Assisting the Admin Department during busy seasons if staff are absent
- Supporting the Financial Manager, COO, and CEO with additional tasks
