Job Purpose

The Fraud Operations Team Leader oversees a team of Fraud Detection Consultants managing day-to-day operations across all fraud types, including Card, Online, Application, Identity Theft, and Account Takeovers.

This role involves user acceptance testing to improve and automate processes, ensuring a seamless digital customer experience within Fraud Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily fraud operations, ensuring quality and SLA delivery.
• Oversee Card Fraud on VRM, focusing on alert management to case completion within acceptable TATs.
• Manage Online Fraud on Actimise, ensuring timely alert management and case resolution.
• Handle Application Fraud on SAFPS.
• Manage fraud disputes and liaise with investigators.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and improve processes.
• Support during system incidents and outages.
• Lead team mentoring, coaching, and development.
• Recruitment and resource planning.
• Improve processes to enhance client experience.
• Monitor team performance and conduct quality audits.
• Build internal and external relationships to achieve objectives.
• Prepare monthly reports and meet IQS objectives.
• Manage financial aspects like overtime, leave, and staff utilization.

Skills and Qualifications

• Analytical, customer-focused, detail-oriented, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
• Systems testing and root cause analysis skills.
• Preferred: Strong communication skills, experience in credit and collections.

Required: Degree (Risk Management / BCOM) or studying towards; NQF Level 5 Fraud and Forensics qualification or higher.

Work Experience: 2-3 years leadership in Fraud Operations or Risk Management, preferably in financial services.
