Job description

Product People is the premier destination for Product Management services in Europe. Our in-house staff helps cover parental leaves, discover/deliver great products, and accelerate transformation by acting as bar-raising pacesetters. We empower our Product community of 50,000 members to share knowledge generously whilst managing the hands-on work of a Product/Program Manager or Product Ops, on an interim/fractional basis (3+ months).

About the Role
  1. Help Product People become a category-defining company in the consulting space. When people think of electric cars, they think of Tesla. For music, it's Spotify. When thinking about Product Management, they should think of Product People. You'll own or contribute to initiatives like playbooks, knowledge sharing, networking, and process automation.
  2. Serve as an Interim Senior Product Manager for post-product market-fit digital-first companies ranging from Series B to publicly listed. Drive complex cross-functional initiatives in B2C or B2B products, such as setting quarterly OKRs, Continuous Discovery/Jobs To Be Done (JTBD), or A/B testing.
  3. Solve for clients and our company by prioritizing, clarifying, and executing. Manage discovery and delivery for multiple streams, balancing hands-on work with strategic oversight.
  4. Effectively manage diverse groups, adapt communication styles, and integrate quickly into teams. Maintain a friendly, helpful, and accommodating demeanor, even when pushing back.
  5. Communicate compelling narratives about products and features, understanding and sharing strategic and business context with client leadership.
  6. Coach and mentor the next generation of PMs, managing 1-6 team members, breaking down initiatives, and fostering growth through the teaching hospital method.
  7. Cycle through new missions every 3-6 months, continuously sharpening skills and supporting internal initiatives.

  1. You like fixing messes in high-ownership, high-visibility roles. You create structure from chaos and find these adventures exciting.
  2. Optimism as an Operating System. You handle high-pressure situations calmly and maintain a cheerful style.
  3. Driven, collaborative, kind, direct, and open communicator. You build strong relationships, give and receive feedback graciously, and communicate effectively in English (C2 or native; German a plus).
  4. Context switching ninja. You absorb information quickly, make decisions, and switch contexts seamlessly.
  5. Commercial leadership. You understand how companies grow and make money, and you are outcome-oriented.
Compensation
  1. Based on location and level, with transparent salary bands.
  2. Tenure-based increases: 5% after 12 months, 10% after 24 months.
  3. Uncapped quarterly bonuses (~€25,000), shared transparently.
  4. Yearly profit participation for employees with 12+ months of tenure.
